Thermal immuno-nanomedicine in cancer

Zhe Yang et al.

Summary: Immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment, but promoting antitumour immunity in patients with resistant tumours remains a challenge. Thermal therapies offer a promising approach by reprogramming the tumour microenvironment and promoting immune cell recruitment. This review summarizes the role of thermal therapies in combination with immunotherapies, as well as the development of thermal immuno-nanomedicines for cancer treatment.

Microenvironment-tailored micelles restrain carcinoma-astrocyte crosstalk for brain metastasis

Zhenhao Zhao et al.

Summary: Breast-to-brain metastatic cells can interact with surrounding cells to create a favorable environment for tumor growth. Co-delivering therapeutic siRNA and paclitaxel to the metastasis site and normalizing the microenvironment can effectively treat breast-to-brain metastasis.
