Two-Dimensional Moran Model

Asma Althagafi et al.

Summary: In this paper, we discuss a two-dimensional Moran model of random walks with two parallel evolving queues that can either increase by one or reset to 0 at each unit of time. We analyze the joint distribution of their final altitude and prove that the asymptotic distribution of each component is a shifted geometric distribution. Furthermore, we analyze the maximum of these two components and provide closed-form expressions for the mean and variance.
