Pegmatite magmatic evolution and rare metal mineralization of the Dahongliutan pegmatite field, Western Kunlun Orogen: Constraints from the B isotopic composition and mineral-chemistry

Rui Cao et al.

Summary: The Dahongliutan rare-metal pegmatite deposit is a newly discovered Li-Be deposit in the West Kunlun orogen, Northwest China. It shows distinct regional zonation and evolution of mineralization from the barren core to the outer zone. The pegmatite dikes in the deposit are derived from a metasedimentary source within the continental crust, and the presence of immiscible B-rich fluid during magmatic-hydrothermal evolution is correlated with the BTM-II type tourmaline.

Hydrogeochemistry and geothermometry of thermal springs in the eastern Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt

T. A. K. Martinez-Florentino et al.

Summary: This study investigated the hydrogeochemical and isotopic characteristics of low-temperature hydrothermal springs in the eastern Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, revealing possible sources of thermal water and rock-water interactions. The study identified similarities and differences among the thermal springs and found that the hydrochemistry of the thermal waters reflects a water source related to geothermal brines, mixing of thermal fluid and infiltrated water, as well as water-rock interactions.

Multi-isotopic (O, H, C, S, Sr, B, Li) characterization of waters in a low-enthalpy geothermal system in Havza (Samsun), Turkey

Esra Hatipoglu Temizel et al.

Summary: In this study, multi-isotopic compositions were used to analyze the geochemical characteristics, source, and water-rock interaction mechanisms of geothermal fluids in the Havza geothermal field in Turkey. The results showed a complex mixture of geothermal water sources and significant interaction between reservoir rocks and fluids.

Hydrochemistry, geothermometry and origin of the low temperature thermal springs of South Konkan region, India

Prasenjit Das et al.

Summary: The west coast of India is an important geothermal province with twenty thermal springs, showing low-temperature geothermal activity related to faults in the geological formations. The hydrochemical process of thermal water is mainly controlled by the dissolution of silicate minerals, while the reservoir temperature is estimated to range between 55 and 86 degrees Celsius.
