Cyclic heating and mechanical properties of CNT reinforced cement composite

Young Cheol Choi

Summary: The study found that with the increase of CNT dosage, the temperature of the specimens also increased, but more heating cycles may lead to a decrease in heating performance. This is likely attributed to the occurrence of microcracks caused by different thermal expansion coefficients, and the additional hydrates generated by the increased temperature of the specimens.

Interfacial design of nano-TiO2 modified fly ash-cement based low carbon composites

Jing Meng et al.

Summary: Enhancing the reactivity of fly ash through ball milling with TiO2 nanoparticles significantly improves early strength of low-carbon composites. The addition of TiO2 nanoparticles enhances the interfacial interlocking and pozzolanic activity, leading to increased hydration rate and extent. This efficient ball-milling process illustrates the potential for improving waste recycling efficiency in other materials.

An Experimental Study on Various Industrial Wastes in Concrete for Sustainable Construction

Sanjay R. Salla et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the potential of using supplementary cementitious materials to replace cement in the construction industry, reducing environmental impact, costs, and energy consumption. Various tests were conducted to ensure the pozzolanic reactivity of SCMs, with promising results in terms of reducing CO2 emissions and overall material costs.
