Summary: The study aims to determine an appropriate acquisition time range for the new long axial field of view Biograph Vision Quadra PET/CT scanner in melanoma patients. The results show that low-dose LAFOV PET/CT imaging is feasible and can provide comparable diagnostic data to standard lengths of acquisition in a shorter scanning time, which is significant for the diagnostic work-up of melanoma patients.

Summary: Non-Hodgkin lymphomas encompass a diverse group of lymphoproliferative disorders with varying clinical courses. 18F-FDG-PET/CT is the current gold standard diagnostic imaging for staging, restaging, and treatment evaluation in lymphomas with high glucose avidity. PET-based response criteria are now uniformly applied in FDG-avid lymphomas, and this article provides updates on the management of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, and other histotypes, as well as the use of PET-derived factors for patient stratification and prognostication, and emerging radiomics research. Summary: This study aimed to compare the impact of using the full acceptance angle (UHS) and the limited acceptance angle (high sensitivity mode, HS) on image reconstructions with the Biograph Vision Quadra LAFOV PET/CT. The results showed that using UHS significantly improved the signal-to-noise ratio and allowed for shorter acquisition times, which is advantageous for further reduction of whole-body PET/CT.

Summary: Long axial field of view (LAFOV) PET-CT scanners have been recently developed and are already in clinical use in few centers worldwide, providing increased sensitivity for lesion detectability, reduced PET acquisition time and/or radiotracer dose, and improved attenuation correction approaches. However, challenges such as high purchase price, logistics issues, and the need for infrastructure in radiochemistry still need to be addressed. Overall, LAFOV PET-CT represents an important advancement in molecular imaging, with potential for dynamic imaging and improved oncological applications.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the contrast recovery coefficients (CRCs) and voxel noise levels for multiple isotopes throughout the 1.06 m axial field of view (FOV) of the Biograph Vision Quadra PET/CT system. Cylindrical phantoms with different sphere sizes and isotopes were used to evaluate the partial volume effect (PVE). The results showed distinct differences in PVE within the FOV, which can significantly affect the quantitative analysis of patient data. MRD322 resulted in slightly lower CRC values and significantly reduced voxel noise compared to MRD85.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the reconstruction parameters for the Biograph Vision Quadra PET/CT system that would result in quantitative images compliant with the EARL criteria. The study also found that the high sensitivity of the Vision Quadra allows for short frames as short as 10 seconds to be feasible for quantitative imaging.

Summary: Radioimmunoconjugates have been widely used in nuclear medicine applications for over 30 years. Recent advances in cancer biology have led to the discovery of new molecular targets specific to certain patient subgroups, allowing for the development of specifically tailored therapeutic approaches. Immuno-positron emission tomography (immuno-PET) is a non-invasive imaging modality that utilizes monoclonal antibodies for in vivo characterization of tumor biomarkers, providing valuable information on tumor targeting. Immuno-PET shows great potential in various nuclear medicine applications, including staging/stratification, theranostic approaches, and predictive/prognostic biomarkers. Finding the right balance between isotope choice and immunologic structure is crucial for the development of radiopharmaceutical drugs for immuno-PET.

Summary: The study investigated the ability of 18F-FDG PET/CT in assessing the response of metastatic melanoma patients to immunotherapy. Baseline SUVpeak, MTV, and TLG parameters were found to be promising predictors of treatment response. Modified response assessment criteria are potentially suitable for monitoring immunotherapy, and PET-detectable immune-related adverse events (irAEs) were associated with therapy response.
