Nurse-led telehealth intervention effectiveness on reducing hypertension: a systematic review

Maria Kappes et al.

Summary: This systematic review examines the effectiveness of nursing-led telehealth interventions in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The findings indicate that nurse-led interventions using telehealth devices, remote video consultation, calls, and email alerts can significantly decrease blood pressure, particularly systolic blood pressure, in intervention groups. These interventions also have positive effects on hypertension awareness, self-efficacy, self-control, cholesterol levels, fruit and vegetable consumption, physical activity, and medication adherence.

Differences of blood pressure measured at clinic versus at home in the morning and in the evening in Europe and Asia: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Huanhuan Miao et al.

Summary: There are differences in home and clinic blood pressure measurements in the morning and evening between European and Asian populations. Europeans have larger differences in blood pressure, while Asians have smaller differences. These differences may be related to region, ethnicity, age, and clinic blood pressure.

Home and Online Management and Evaluation of Blood Pressure (HOME BP) using a digital intervention in poorly controlled hypertension: randomised controlled trial

Richard J. McManus et al.

Summary: The HOME BP trial tested a digital intervention for hypertension management in primary care, showing that self-monitoring of blood pressure combined with digital intervention led to better control of systolic blood pressure with low incremental costs.
