Optical characteristics of Al-doped ZnS thin film using pulsed laser deposition technique: the effect of aluminum concentration

A. A. Ahmed et al.

Summary: An efficient PLD method was used to create un-doped and Al-doped ZnS nanomaterial. The effect of Al concentration on optical properties was investigated using UV-Vis and PL spectroscopies. The results showed a decrease in optical bandgap and the appearance of additional emission peaks with Al doping. The photoluminescence was enhanced with 6% Al content but decreased at higher concentrations.

Bis-(N-ethylphenyldithiocarbamato)palladium(II) as molecular precursor for palladium sulfide nanoparticles

Athandwe M. Paca et al.

Summary: The synthesis and characterization of Bis(N-ethylphenyldithiocarbamato)palladium(II) and its thermal decomposition products, palladium sulfide nanoparticles, revealed a relationship between temperature and the optical and morphological properties of the nanoparticles. Higher temperatures resulted in larger nanoparticles with non-uniform size distribution, showing rough surface morphologies. The optical band gap of the nanoparticles increased slightly with temperature.

Peter A. Ajibade et al.

Summary: In this study, octadecylamine-capped ZnS quantum dots were prepared from bis(morpholinyldithiocarbamato)Zn(II) complex via thermal decomposition, with a focus on the impact of reaction time on morphological and photocatalytic properties. ZnS-3 exhibited the highest photocatalytic degradation efficiency with low photoluminescence intensity. Additionally, pH 8 was found to be optimal for the degradation of brilliant green, while pH 6.5 was best for the degradation of rhodamine B.
