Summary: In this study, the linear and nonlinear optical properties of GO-ZnO and RGO-ZnO nanocomposites were investigated and compared with pure GO and RGO. The synthesized materials were characterized using FT-IR, UV-Vis, XRD, and EDX. The results showed successful reduction of GO and synthesis of GO-ZnO and RGO-ZnO nanocomposites. The UV-Vis spectra revealed the direct band gaps of the materials, consistent with the increased nonlinear absorption coefficient and refractive index values obtained from the z-scan technique.

Summary: A simple and cost-effective co-precipitation method was used to prepare ZnO nanoparticles from a metal organic framework, which were then blended with graphene oxide (GO) to create the ZnO-GO nanocomposite. The physicochemical properties, structural behavior, functional groups, and optical properties of the nanoparticles and nanocomposite were analyzed through various techniques including XRD, FT-IR, UV-vis spectroscopy, FESEM, and EDX. Cyclic voltammetry was also employed to study the redox behavior of the ZnO and ZnO-GO composites.

Summary: The bimetallic PtPd-modified Bi2MoO6 (BMO) microspheres were synthesized using facile ultrasonic reduction and solvothermal methods. The sensor based on BMO-1.5% exhibited a significantly higher response value for CO gas compared to the initial BMO sensor. The enhanced gas properties were attributed to the metal-support interaction and sensitization of Pt and Pd.

Summary: In this study, ZnO nanorods were successfully synthesized using the microwave-assisted technique. Zn1-xAgxO (x = 0.05, 0.1) was prepared using the solid-state reaction method, while graphene oxide (GO) was prepared using Hummer's modified method. The nanorods and nanocomposites were characterized using various techniques, and it was found that the nanocomposites exhibited improved antibacterial activity compared to pure ZnO nanorods.

Summary: Electronic textiles are revolutionizing our lives, but their lack of effective recycling poses a significant environmental burden. This study presents a cotton fiber-based piezoresistive textile that is biocompatible, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. The textile is fabricated using a scalable dip-coating method, achieving strong adhesion between MXene flakes and porous cotton cellulose fibers through hydrogen bonding. With high sensitivity, fast response time, and good cycle stability, this textile can detect various human biomechanical activities while ensuring comfort. Additionally, the cotton cellulose component can naturally degrade, making the electronic textile truly biodegradable. This work offers a cost-effective and ecologically-benign approach to developing high-performance wearable bioelectronics.
