Antibacterial mechanism of rose essential oil against Pseudomonas putida isolated from white Hypsizygus marmoreus at cellular and metabolic levels

Yuhan Yuan et al.

Summary: This study reveals the mechanism of action of rose essential oil (REO) on Pseudomonas putida at the cellular level using metabolomics. REO disrupts the integrity of bacterial cell walls and membranes, leading to leakage of cell contents. It also affects various metabolic pathways, especially amino acid metabolism. Application results show that REO has a good antibacterial effect on white Hypsizygus marmoreus.
