Om Prakash et al.

Summary: Ziziphus mauritiana, commonly known as Indian jujube, is a pharmacologically diverse medicinal plant with active phytochemical constituents like berberine, quercetin, and kaempferol. Studies have shown various pharmacological potentials of its fruits, leaves, and stems, such as antioxidant, cytotoxic, antimicrobial, and hepatoprotective properties. Future investigations are needed to isolate and characterize active agents for medicinal properties and validate existing traditional practices.
