Incorporation of ?-MnO2 Nanoflowers into Zinc-Terephthalate Metal-Organic Frameworks for High-Performance Asymmetric Supercapacitors

Balaji Chettiannan et al.

Summary: In this study, alpha-MnO2 nanoflower-incorporated zinc-terephthalate MOFs (MnO2@Zn-MOFs) were successfully synthesized as electrode materials for supercapacitors. The synthesized material exhibited higher specific capacitance and improved cycle stability compared to pure Zn-BDC and alpha-MnO2. The enhanced performance can be attributed to the inclusion of MnO2, which increased the number of reactive sites and improved redox activity. Additionally, an asymmetric supercapacitor using MnO2@Zn-MOF as the anode showed a high energy density and good cycle stability.

All pseudocapacitive MXene-MnO2 flexible asymmetric supercapacitor

Yudi Wei et al.

Summary: This study presents a flexible asymmetric supercapacitor device based on MXene, with an increased voltage window of 1.5 V, more than twice wider than symmetric devices. The asymmetric device exhibits high specific capacitance, good cycling stability, and can power a 3 V LED for 90 minutes after being bent 1000 times. It shows excellent application prospects for the next generation of electrochemical energy storage devices.

MnO2 core-shell type materials for high-performance supercapacitors: A short review

T. S. Bhat et al.

Summary: This review paper examines the application of MnO2 core-shell type materials in supercapacitors. The use of core-shell structure can provide higher surface area and better conductivity, leading to improved performance of supercapacitors. The study finds that various electroactive materials can be applied in the core-shell structure. However, developing MnO2 core-shell type materials for high-performance supercapacitors still faces challenges.

Shujahadeen B. Aziz et al.

Summary: Solid polymer electrolytes containing methylcellulose:dextran, ammonium hexafluorophosphate, and glycerol were prepared and characterized. The results showed that the mobility, number density, and diffusion coefficient of ions increased with the increase of glycerol content. The electrochemical stability window analysis indicated good stability of the highest conducting plasticized system.
