Facile hydrothermal synthesis of high-performance binary silver-cobalt-sulfide for supercapattery devices

Muhammad Waqas Iqbal et al.

Summary: This study synthesized silver sulfide, cobalt sulfide, and their binary compound silver cobalt sulfide using a simple hydrothermal approach. The electrochemical analysis showed that the specific capacity of silver cobalt sulfide was higher when compared to silver sulfide or cobalt sulfide alone. An asymmetric supercapacitor with activated carbon as the negative electrode and silver cobalt sulfide as the positive electrode achieved high energy density and power density.
