Sodium-ion battery from sea salt: a review

Switching from lithium-ion batteries to sodium-ion batteries is planned, as sodium is more abundant and economical. This review focuses on the components of sodium batteries, including anode, cathode, electrolyte, binder, and separator, highlighting the significance of sodium raw materials. Sea salt, or NaCl, shows potential as a cathode raw material in sodium batteries, offering cost reductions and environmental benefits.
