Synthesis and electrochemical energy storage performance evaluation of PANI functionalized CNTs/Ni-Zn (PO4)2 nanocomposites

Waseem Shehzad et al.

Summary: In this study, nanocomposites of binary transition metal phosphate [Ni0.75Zn0.25 (PO4)(2)] with PANI-CNTs were prepared and characterized for potential use in electrochemical energy storage. The highest-performing electrode, NZP60, exhibited a specific capacity of 1143 Cg(-1) and an exceptional energy density of 89.2 Wh kg(-1) in an asymmetric supercapacitor device. The cyclic performance (99.86% after 5000 cycles) and rate performance (25% increase after stability test) were excellent, indicating the high potential of Ni-Zn binary metal phosphate/PANI-CNTs nanocomposites in energy storage applications.

Hexagonal boron nitride-based composites: an overview of processing approaches and mechanical properties

Muhammad Ramzan Abdul Karim et al.

Summary: Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN)-based composites have versatile and significantly improved properties, making them highly valuable in various industries. This review article critically examines the crystal structure and enhanced properties of h-BN, as well as the fabrication methods, mechanical properties, and applications of h-BN-based ceramics and composites with different materials. The results show that hot pressing enhances mechanical properties through the incorporation of BN, while pressureless sintering leads to poor mechanical properties due to porosity and poor bonding between h-BN grains. These findings provide valuable insights for the development and application of h-BN-based materials.

Improved energy storage performance of sonochemically synthesized Ni-Co-Zn ternary metal phosphate composites by incorporating PANI functionalized CNTs

Waseem Shehzad et al.

Summary: The multi-walled carbon nanotubes were functionalized with polyaniline through chemical grafting, followed by the addition of ternary transition metal phosphate. The resulting nanocomposites exhibited excellent electrochemical performance in energy storage devices, with a specific capacity of 1438 Cg-1 and an energy density of 104 Whkg 1. The hierarchical structure of the composite played a crucial role in achieving these desirable properties.
