Summary: A total of 1218 helminths were found in 101 specimens of Halichoeres radiatus in the Veracruz Coral Reef System National Park in southern Gulf of Mexico, with most of them parasitizing in the gills, intestines, and other parts, suggesting that infection may be related to the feeding habits of fish.

Larvae and macro-crustaceans along the coastline of the Parque Nacional Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano, SW Gulf of Mexico

Summary: In this study, the composition, distribution, and abundance of decapod genera at different developmental stages of larvae and adult macro-crustaceans were evaluated along the coastline of the Parque Nacional Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano, SW Gulf of Mexico. Collections were made using light traps, with in situ measurements of temperature, salinity, oxygen, and pH. Samples were fixed with 70% alcohol, separated, and identified by developmental stage and genus level with specialized literature.
