Summary: Farmers' ability to forecast crop types accurately plays a critical role in global food production and sustainable smart cities. Timely decisions on imports and exports based on precise predictions are crucial for a country's food security. This study focuses on India, where agriculture is the primary source of revenue, and analyzes statistical features to determine the best crop type in the context of an Indian smart city. Machine learning algorithms such as k-NN, SVM, RF, and GB trees are examined, with GB trees demonstrating the highest accuracy of 99.11% and an F1-score of 99.20%.

Summary: Agricultural countries are facing water shortage problems due to mismanagement of water distribution systems and inappropriate irrigation methods. Existing irrigation systems are unable to address the needs of mixed cropping in different seasons. This paper presents a smart context-aware irrigation system that utilizes automated hybrid irrigation methods to improve crop yield. The system includes data acquisition, decision support, and context-aware water scheduling components.

Summary: IoT architectures are used to generate data for large and remote agriculture areas, which can be utilized for crop predictions using machine learning algorithms. The recommended crops depend on attributes such as N, P, K, pH, temperature, humidity, and rainfall. This case study aims to develop a model that can predict high yield crops and enable precision agriculture, using selected machine learning algorithms and incorporating IoT and agriculture measurements.
