Effect of Clay, Soil Organic Matter, and Soil pH on Initial and Residual Weed Control with Flumioxazin

Summary: Greenhouse studies evaluated the effects of soil organic matter content and soil pH on initial and residual weed control with flumioxazin. Results showed that higher organic matter content and pH levels could reduce the control of certain weed species by flumioxazin, while clay content did not affect the initial control of weed species. Residual control of flumioxazin varied depending on soil organic matter content and pH levels, with different levels of control observed in lab-made and field soils.
