Oscillatoria limnetica Mediated Green Synthesis of Iron Oxide (Fe2O3) Nanoparticles and Their Diverse In Vitro Bioactivities

Summary: In this study, iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe2O3-NPs) were synthesized using Oscillatoria limnetica extract as reducing and capping agents. The synthesized IONPs were characterized using various techniques and showed potential therapeutic effects in vitro. Antimicrobial assays demonstrated the effectiveness of biosynthesized IONPs against different bacterial and fungal strains. Cytotoxicity and toxicological evaluations confirmed the biocompatibility of IONPs with human cells, while antioxidant assays showed a high DPPH clearance rate of 73%. Overall, IONPs exhibit promising biological potentials for future in vitro and in vivo therapeutic applications.

Biogenic Synthesis of Multifunctional Silver Oxide Nanoparticles (Ag2ONPs) Using Parieteria alsinaefolia Delile Aqueous Extract and Assessment of Their Diverse Biological Applications

Summary: Green nanotechnology enables the synthesis of nanoparticles with diverse applications in various commercial areas. In this study, a novel green approach was developed using Parieteria alsinaefolia leaves extract to biosynthesize silver oxide nanoparticles (Ag(2)ONPs) as reducing, stabilizing, and capping agents. The synthesis of Ag(2)ONPs was confirmed through various techniques including UV-Visible spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), zeta potential and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analyses. The synthesized Ag(2)ONPs showed significant therapeutic potentials, including antioxidant and antibacterial activities, biocompatibility, and α-amylase inhibition. These findings suggest that Ag(2)ONPs have promising applications in pharmaceutical, biomedical, and pharmacological sectors.
