Evaluation and Improvement of the Performance of a Wellhead Multistage Bundle Gas-Liquid Separator

Xianglong Zhuge et al.

Summary: This paper evaluates the performance of a wellhead multistage bundle gas-liquid separator using numerical simulation. The results show that increasing the water cut improves the uniformity of the separation flow field and enhances the swirl effect, leading to higher separation efficiency. The flow rate and pressure of the separation flow field also affect the separation performance. By optimizing the number and diameter of the secondary separation bundles, further improvement in separation efficiency can be achieved.

Study on the Flow Characteristics of Desulfurization Ash Fine Particles in a Circulating Fluidized Bed

Xiao Yang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the flow characteristics of desulphurization ash particles in a riser in a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) for semi-dry flue gas desulphurization using CFB technology. The findings showed a relatively high solids holdup near the bottom of the riser, gradually decreasing as the height increases, and a stable value from the middle to the top of the riser. The radial distribution also found low solids holdup in the center and high in the wall region. The particle-based Archimedes number was found to have a linear relationship with the solids holdup at all operating conditions.
