Summary: Hybrid metaheuristic algorithm is a powerful tool in AI that provides accurate ETo prediction, which is crucial for water resource availability and hydrological studies. However, its use in predicting ETo is limited. In this study, the prediction abilities of two SVR models combined with three MAs were compared. The results showed that the SVR-PSOGWO model outperformed other models and could significantly reduce RMSE in ETo prediction. This hybrid machine learning model is recommended for monthly ETo prediction in humid regions and similar climates worldwide.

A new empirical chart for coal burst liability classification using Kriging method

Summary: An empirical classification model based on elastic energy index (W-et) and impact energy index (K-c) was established to analyze the risk level of coal burst. The Kriging method was used to display the classification boundaries and distribution characteristics of coal burst liabilities (CBLs) on a 2D chart. The reliability of the spatial interpolation model was further validated using 43 test samples. Results showed that the Kriging model had a classification accuracy of 91% and outperformed other uncertainty-based methods. This model can be a valuable tool for geological hazard prevention and initial design.

Stability prediction of hard rock pillar using support vector machine optimized by three metaheuristic algorithms

Application of reliability-based back-propagation causality-weighted neural networks to estimate air-overpressure due to mine blasting

Summary: In this study, an uncertainty intelligence method based on Z-number reliability and fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) was used to predict the air-overpressure (AOp) caused by mine blasting. The cause-and-effect relationship between effective parameters on AOp was determined by a team of experts, and the Z-number concept was used to solve the uncertainty of expert opinions. Two learning algorithms, nonlinear Hebbian (NLH) and differential evolution (DE) algorithms, were integrated to decrease the dependence on experts' views. The developed model, back-propagation causality-weighted neural networks (BPCWNNs), showed improved accuracy compared to other models, making it a high-performance artificial intelligence technique for predicting blast-induced AOp.

The novel meta-heuristic algorithm called RLHHO outperformed traditional and advanced meta-heuristic algorithms in various test functions and demonstrated scalability in solving complex real-world problems.
