Tumor to Tumor Metastasis: A Case Report of Metastatic Angiosarcoma to an Ovarian Brenner Tumor and Review of the Literature

Bilge Dundar et al.

Summary: Metastatic angiosarcoma to an ovarian Brenner tumor in a postmenopausal woman with a history of breast cancer is reported. Initially misdiagnosed as a proliferating Brenner tumor based on limited sampling, it was later identified as an intermixed angiosarcoma component within the tumor upon review of permanent sections. Metastasis to ovarian tumors is a rare phenomenon, with only 18 cases reported in the last 50 years. Accurate diagnosis requires detailed clinical history, careful gross examination, and sampling to recognize the separate tumor components.

Tumor-to-tumor metastasis: A case report of metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma to meningioma and review of the literature

Xue Li et al.

Summary: We report a rare case of tumor-to-tumor metastasis, in which nasopharyngeal carcinoma metastasized to meningioma. The patient presented with a mass in the left temporoparietal lobe, which was diagnosed as meningioma by imaging. Pathological examination revealed the metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma to meningioma. The patient underwent resection followed by chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and has remained free of relapse.

Autophagy deficiency promotes lung metastasis of prostate cancer via stabilization of TWIST1

Y. X. Shi et al.

Summary: Our research revealed that ATG5-mediated autophagy is a key mechanism that controls the metastasis of prostate cancer by regulating p62 abundance and TWIST1 stabilization.

FBXW2 inhibits prostate cancer proliferation and metastasis via promoting EGFR ubiquitylation and degradation

Tao Zhou et al.

Summary: The study reveals that FBXW2 functions as a tumor suppressor in prostate cancer by promoting EGFR ubiquitination and degradation, leading to repression of cell proliferation and metastasis.

Traditional Chinese medicine CFF-1 exerts a potent anti-tumor immunity to hinder tumor growth and metastasis in prostate cancer through EGFR/JAK1/STAT3 pathway to inhibit PD-1/PD-L1 checkpoint signaling

Yu Zhang et al.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the regulatory mechanism of CFF-1 on PD-L1/PD-1-mediated tumor immune escape. The results showed that CFF-1 can inhibit tumor growth and lung metastasis by suppressing the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway and improving T lymphocyte immune response.
