Tailoring Two-Dimensional Matter Using Strong Light-Matter Interactions

Ye-Jin Kim et al.

Summary: The strong interaction between light and matter is utilized to shape two-dimensional materials into nanoscale architectures. By controlling the light fields, ultrafine nanostructures of black phosphorus are achieved. Nanoribbons and nanocubes/cuboids with sizes in the tens of nanometers scale are formed via tailored ablation along tightly confined periodic light fields.

Summary: The orientation factor plays a crucial role in producing highly strong conductive carbon nanotube (CNT) fibers. A theoretical model is proposed to obtain well-aligned CNT fibers with superior properties through wet-spinning of CNTs in a superacid. The model predicts the minimum draw ratio for achieving target orientation and stable operation window using linear stability analysis of the draw resonance.

Polarized holographic lithography system for high-uniformity microscale patterning with periodic tunability

Gaopeng Xue et al.

Summary: The proposed polarized holographic lithography system effectively patterns high-uniformity microscale two-dimensional crossed-grating structures with tunable periodicity. By utilizing orthogonal two-axis Lloyd's mirror interference and polarization modulation, the system produces three sub-beams to create two-dimensional crossed-grating patterns with wavelength-comparable periods in a single exposure. Additionally, the system allows for flexible tuning of the two-dimensional-pattern period by adjusting the interferometer spatial positioning.
