Penetration of MeV electrons into the mesosphere accompanying pulsating aurorae

Y. Miyoshi et al.

Summary: Pulsating aurorae (PsA) are caused by intermittent precipitations of magnetospheric electrons with energies ranging from a few keV to a few MeV. These electron precipitations lead to catalytic ozone depletion in the mesosphere.
