An Online Learning Approach to Computation Offloading in Dynamic Fog Networks

Summary: This article investigates the computation offloading problem in fog computing with unknown dynamics, proposing a novel policy with interleaved exploration and exploitation epochs to minimize network latency. The results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce average latency by 7%-47% in single-user setting and 91% in multiuser setting compared to existing offloading algorithms.
