Reported outcomes of nursing or midwifery students participating in international educational programs in their pre-registration education: A narrative systematic review

Jacqueline Johnston et al.

Summary: This systematic review investigates the outcomes of nursing or midwifery students participating in international educational programs during their pre-registration education. The results suggest that students who engage in such programs experience similarities in cultural learning, personal growth, and professional development. However, there is a lack of research exploring long-term outcomes and further investigation is needed.

Analysing complexity: developing a modified phenomenological hermeneutical method of data analysis for multiple contexts

Debra A. Morgan

Summary: Qualitative data analysis has faced criticism in recent years due to vague descriptions of how findings are obtained, leading to doubts about credibility. To address this, there is a growing emphasis in literature on detailing methods of qualitative data analysis. This paper contributes to this by presenting a reflexive narrative review of a modified version of the 'phenomenological hermeneutical method for interpreting interview texts', which offers greater transparency when dealing with data from multiple contexts.
