Finite-Time Synchronization of Uncertain Fractional-Order Delayed Memristive Neural Networks via Adaptive Sliding Mode Control and Its Application

Summary: This paper investigates the finite-time synchronization of uncertain fractional-order memristive neural networks (FMNNs) with leakage and discrete delays, considering the impacts of uncertain parameters and external disturbances. A fractional-order adaptive terminal sliding mode control scheme (FATSMC) is designed to estimate the upper bounds of unknown external disturbances effectively. The finite-time synchronization of the master-slave FMNNs has been achieved and the corresponding synchronization criteria and explicit expression of settling time (ST) are obtained. A numerical example and a secure communication application are provided to demonstrate the validity of the results.

The Tracking Control of the Variable-Order Fractional Differential Systems by Time-Varying Sliding-Mode Control Approach

Summary: This paper addresses the problem of tracking control for a variable-order fractional uncertain system. Two types of controllers are designed using the global sliding-mode control method to ensure the global robustness of the systems. The first controller is based on a full-order global sliding-mode surface with variable-order fractional type, while the second one utilizes a novel time-varying control law to drive the error signals to a proposed reduced-order sliding-mode surface and converge to the origin. The stability of the proposed controllers is proven using the variable-order fractional type Lyapunov stability theorem, and numerical simulations are provided to validate the theoretical results.

Biplane Trajectory Tracking Using Hybrid Controller Based on Backstepping and Integral Terminal Sliding Mode Control

Improved Non-Singular Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Control With Disturbance Observer for PMSM Drives

Summary: A compound control method using an improved NFTSMC and disturbance observer compensation techniques has been developed to enhance the anti-disturbance performance of PMSM drives. The new NSMRL allows for chattering reduction on control output while maintaining high tracking performance, and the introduction of SMDO further improves the anti-disturbance performance. Both simulation and experimental results demonstrate better suppression of chattering effect, fast dynamic response, and disturbance rejection ability with the proposed control method.
