In the Wild Video Content as a Special Case of User Generated Content and a System for Its Recognition

Mikolaj Leszczuk et al.

Summary: According to Cisco, IP video traffic tripled between 2017 and 2022. User-Generated Content (UGC) is the main driver of this traffic growth. Advances in accessible knowledge and affordable equipment have enabled the production of UGCs with quality comparable to professional content. However, there is a lack of algorithms capable of distinguishing UGC from other content. In this study, the XGBoost machine learning algorithm is used to develop a novel recognition model for UGC content in the wild, achieving an accuracy of 0.916.

Using improved CRITIC method to evaluate thermal coal suppliers

Shuheng Zhong et al.

Summary: The shortage of coal supply in Europe due to the complex international political situation has led to the need for timely and effective short-term evaluation of suppliers by coal-electricity-integrated companies. This paper improves the CRITIC method and evaluates the coal suppliers of a coal-electricity-integrated firm using short-term transaction data. The results show that the improved CRITIC method effectively avoids the problem of weight changes caused by conflicting value ranges of indicators and provides evaluation results that are more consistent with the actual situation, meeting the requirements of large coal enterprises for evaluating suppliers.
