Design of a series of cocrystals featuring isoniazid modified with diacetone alcohol

Matthew Clarke Scheepers et al.

Summary: Eight cocrystals containing an isoniazid derivative derivatized with diacetone alcohol were synthesized and characterized in this study. The crystal structures obtained from single crystal X-ray diffraction showed similar chain hydrogen bonds between molecules of isoniazid derivative, with differences arising when additional hydroxyl groups are present. Differential scanning calorimetry and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used for further characterization.
