Room-Temperature Direct Synthesis of PbSe Quantum Dot Inks for High-Detectivity Near-Infrared Photodetectors

Mingfa Peng et al.

Summary: The paper introduces efficient NIR photodetectors based on the direct synthesis of PbSe quantum dot inks. By constructing the PbSe QDs/ZnO heterostructure, the photodetectors exhibit high NIR responsivity and detectivity. The in-situ passivation and the avoidance of ligand exchange have successfully improved the performance of the photodetectors.

Efficiently Passivated PbSe Quantum Dot Solids for Infrared Photovoltaics

Sisi Liu et al.

Summary: The study developed a hybrid ligand co-passivation strategy to improve the quality of PbSe QD solids, leading to excellent trap-state control and prolonged carrier lifetime. The hybrid ligand treatment achieved high V-OC and high J(SC) simultaneously in IR QD solar cells, resulting in the highest IR-PCE for PbSe QD IR solar cells at present.

Photoconductive PbSe thin films for infrared imaging

Mool C. Gupta et al.

Summary: Lead selenide (PbSe) has unique photoconductive sensitivity to the mid-wave infrared spectrum, and continues to be of interest due to its high IR responsivity, large-area application space, and low-cost fabrication. By manipulating grain size and morphology, PbSe's bandgap can be tuned, with recent research focusing on synthesized quantum dots (QDs) and novel manufacturing methods.
