Raman spectroscopy study of manganese oxides: Layer structures

Jeffrey E. Post et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that using different laser wavelengths and low power levels of Raman spectra, combined with a comprehensive database of standard spectra, can effectively distinguish and identify different manganese oxide minerals. The relative intensity of Raman modes varies with crystal orientation and laser wavelength, so using a database that includes multiple spectra collected for different crystal orientations and laser wavelengths can enhance phase identification accuracy.
