Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography (ECVT) for Characterization of Additively Manufactured Lattice Structures (AMLS) in Gas-Liquid Systems

Claas Spille et al.

Summary: In the face of current and future global challenges, process engineering requires increasingly specific solutions for gas-liquid contact apparatuses. One potential method for adjusting conditions in these apparatuses is through intelligent and customized structuring to achieve consistent fluid properties and flow characteristics. Through the use of tomographic measurement techniques such as Electrical Capacitance Volume Tomography, new insights have been gained into phase distributions occurring within structured packings, especially for densely packed additively manufactured lattice structures.
