A systematic scoping review of digital health technologies during COVID-19: a new normal in primary health care delivery

Summary: This scoping review examines the evolution of digital health technologies (DHTs) in supporting primary health care (PHC) during COVID-19 and provides insights for future PHC. The review identified 46 studies that investigated various aspects of DHTs, encompassing 19 types of DHTs with 20 areas of use. The findings highlight the potential of DHTs in addressing pre-existing problems and emphasize the need for further research on quality assurance, technical standards, and financial perspectives.
