Porous NiO/CeO2 hybrid nanoflake arrays fabricated by a facile hydrothermal method were employed as substrates for electrochemical biosensors. The resulting NiO/CeO2 hybrid nanoflake arrays with a large specific surface area and good biocompatibility presented an excellent platform for electrochemical biosensing.
