Modeling of carbon dioxide absorption by solution of piperazine and methyldiethanolamine in a rotating packed bed

Arash Esmaeili et al.

Summary: The CO2 removal model using a blended amine solution in a rotating packed bed showed good agreement with experimental data, with an average absolute deviation of less than 7.0%. The process analysis revealed that rotational speed and PZ concentration have significant effects on CO2 absorption efficiency.

Carbon Dioxide Emissions, Capture, Storage and Utilization: Review of Materials, Processes and Technologies

Turgut M. Gur

Summary: Carbon capture and storage is essential for mitigating climate change, but the lack of cost-effective technologies to capture CO2 at large scales hinders progress. The diversity of emission sources highlights the need for a wide range of CCS technologies, materials, and processes to be developed.

Review on CO2 capture by blended amine solutions

Babak Aghel et al.

Summary: This review article examines the procedure of CO2 removal through chemical amine solvents and the challenges associated with high energy requirements for solvent regeneration. The article investigates two approaches: the development of new solvents and the use of high-capacity amine blends, and the modification of operational conditions and integration with thermal power plants to reduce energy consumption.

Synthesis of amine functionalization carbon nanotube-low symmetry porphyrin derivatives conjugates toward dye and metal ions removal

Tawfik A. Saleh et al.

Summary: Carbon nanotubes were functionalized with amine groups and conjugated with prophyrine derivatives to increase active sites. Compound 3 showed better adsorption efficiency for methylene blue at different pH values, achieving high efficiency when the adsorbent dosage increased. The adsorption mechanism involved non-electrostatic and electrostatic interactions, making the material effective for simultaneous adsorption of MB and toxic metal ions.
