Recovery of iron from iron-rich pickling sludge for preparing P-doped polyferric chloride coagulant

Summary: By using a two-step extraction method, Fe ions were extracted from pickling sludge and prepared into a Fe-containing coagulant. The optimal preparation conditions were found to be P:Fe = 0.05, H2O2 amount = 115%, and curing time = 6 days, resulting in color and COD removal efficiencies of 96.25% and 65.91%, respectively.

Treatment of cold rolling mill (CRM) effluent of steel industry

Summary: The study shows that in treating effluent from the Cold Rolling Mill of Tata Steel Industry in India, the standalone electrocoagulation process is more efficient and cost-effective compared to ozonation. The optimal experimental conditions can reduce pollutant content below discharge limits, with the cost of ozonation process being about six times that of electrocoagulation.

Acid recovering and iron recycling from pickling waste acid by extraction and spray pyrolysis techniques

Experimental results showed that using CYC extractant at an O/A ratio of 2:1 yielded the best results.
