Summary: This research focuses on the fabrication and characterization of TAZ532-xNb composites. The composites were successfully formed by hot pressing using high-purity powders of Mg, Sn, Al, Zn, Mn, and Nb. XRD analysis confirmed the presence of desired phases in the composites. The composites exhibited high relative density, densely packed microstructure, and exceptional wetting characteristics. The mechanical properties, such as hardness and tensile strength, improved with increasing Nb reinforcement ratio.

Effect of Drilling Parameters and Tool Geometry on the Thrust Force and Surface Roughness of Aerospace Grade Laminate Composites

Summary: This study aims to investigate the drilling characterization of Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastics (CFRPs) with different drilling parameters and cutting tools. The results show that the optimal drilling conditions are a cutting speed of 45 m/min and feed rate of 0.05 mm/rev using a type II drill with a 120° point angle and 5 mm diameter, as well as a cutting speed of 30 m/min and feed rate of 0.05 mm/rev using a type II drill with a 120° point angle and 3 mm diameter.

Corrosion Behavior of an Mg2Sn Alloy
