Enhanced Charm CP Asymmetries from Final State Interactions

I. Bediaga et al.

Summary: In this paper, we investigate the impact of final state interactions (FSI) on the charge-parity (CP) violation difference between D-0 -> pi(-)pi(+) and D-0 -> K-K+ decays within a CPT invariant framework. The results are consistent with experimental observations.

Enhancement of charm CP violation due to nearby resonances

Stefan Schacht et al.

Summary: Quantitative understanding of CP violation is crucial for revealing potential new physics. While some calculations suggest the need for new physics to explain the observations, the authors propose that scalar resonances within the Standard Model might enhance CP violation. Experimental information, especially on f(0)(1790), is limited and further data on these resonances is strongly recommended.

The charm of 331

Andrzej J. Buras et al.

Summary: In the context of 331 models, a detailed analysis of flavour changing neutral current processes in the charm sector reveals that new Physics effects in certain observables can be much larger than those predicted by the Standard Model. Particularly, the branching ratio of the D-0 -> mu(+)mu(-) mode can be enhanced by 6 orders of magnitude relative to the SM.

Probing the ΔU=0 rule in three body charm decays

Avital Dery et al.

Summary: CP violation in charm decay was observed in D-0 meson decaying to two pseudoscalars, with implications for relevant rescattering amplitudes. Different approaches to probe similar ratios in D-0 decays were discussed, including the advantage of three-body decays over two-body decays. Specific examples of D-0 decays were considered using a toy model of charged resonances.
