Event-triggered delayed impulsive control for input-to-state stability of nonlinear impulsive systems

Mingzhu Wang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the input-to-state stability (ISS) and integral input-to-state stability (iISS) of nonlinear impulsive systems in the context of event-triggered impulsive control (ETIC). It proposes sufficient conditions to avoid Zeno behavior and ensure the ISS/iISS property of impulsive systems, considering external inputs in both continuous dynamics and impulsive dynamics. A novel event-triggered delayed impulsive control (ETDIC) strategy is presented to establish a relationship between event-triggered parameters, impulse strength, and time delays in impulses. The results show that time delays in impulses contribute to the stabilization of impulsive systems in the ISS/iISS sense.

Saturated impulsive control of nonlinear systems with applications

Xiaodi Li et al.

Summary: This paper studies the problem of saturated impulsive control of nonlinear systems, taking into full consideration the saturation structure of impulse action. By applying impulsive control theory and the average dwell time (ADT) method, sufficient conditions for local exponential stabilization (LES) are derived. An optimization problem is presented to maximize the domain of attraction, and a linear matrix inequality (LMI) based algorithm is proposed to obtain a less conservative estimate.

Finite-Time Stabilization of Switched Systems Under Mode-Dependent Event-Triggered Impulsive Control

Taixiang Zhang et al.

Summary: This article investigates the event-triggered finite-time stabilization problem of nonlinear switched systems with indefinite time derivatives of Lyapunov functions. A novel mode-dependent event-triggered mechanism is proposed to efficiently avoid Zeno behavior, along with Lyapunov-based criteria for finite-time stability and finite-time contractive stability. The effectiveness of the proposed strategies is illustrated through two examples.

Summary: This article studies the impulsive stabilization of nonlinear time-delay system with input saturation using a delay-dependent polytopic approach. By introducing the actuator saturation term and applying delay-dependent polytopic technique and delay-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, less conservative linear matrix inequality criteria are obtained to ensure stability. Two examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis results.

Input-to-State Stability of Nonlinear Systems Using Observer-Based Event-Triggered Impulsive Control

Xiaodi Li et al.

Summary: This article discusses the input-to-state stability (ISS) problem for nonlinear systems with exogenous disturbances, where the states of the system are not fully available. A novel event-triggered mechanism (ETM) is designed based on event-triggered control (ETC) strategy to reduce communication and controller updating burden, ensuring guaranteed performance. The proposed observer-based impulsive controller coupled with sample control achieves ISS under the designed ETM, with excluded accumulations of triggered instants (Zeno behavior). Controller gains and ETM parameters are co-designed using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and a numerical example is provided to demonstrate theoretical results effectiveness.
