RMSDSC-Net: A robust multiscale feature extraction with depthwise separable convolution network for optic disc and cup segmentation

Zhou Wei et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel network called RMSDSC-Net for accurate segmentation of optic disc and optic cup in glaucoma diagnosis. The network achieves a balance between segmentation performance and computational efficiency through modules such as multiscale input, depthwise separable convolution unit, dilated convolution block, and external residual connection. The proposed approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods in extensive experiments on two publicly available databases.

TAU: Transferable Attention U-Net for optic disc and cup segmentation

Yuhao Zhang et al.

Summary: Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness globally, and automated detection methods are crucial for intervention and damage reduction. However, due to variations in image capture among different fundus cameras, pretrained models suffer performance degradation on other datasets, and the high cost of manual annotations limits practicality.

DoDNet: Learning to Segment Multi-Organ and Tumors from Multiple Partially Labeled Datasets

Jianpeng Zhang et al.

Summary: The study proposes a dynamic on-demand network (DoDNet) that can learn to segment multiple organs and tumors on partially labeled datasets, demonstrating superior performance on multiple organ and tumor segmentation tasks. By dynamically generating kernels, DoDNet is able to segment in a more efficient and flexible manner.
