Precise position measurement for resident space object with point spread function modeling

Summary: This paper proposes a technique based on precise point spread function modeling for high accuracy position measurement of resident space objects. By extracting dominant components from raw images using principal component analysis, constructing an optimal model, and estimating the position with a centering algorithm, the image processing and data reduction are optimized. Experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and reliability of the proposed method.
