An Aeromagnetic Compensation Algorithm Based on Radial Basis Function Artificial Neural Network

Summary: Aeromagnetic exploration is a method to detect changes in the earth's magnetic field using magnetometers loaded on aircraft. UAV aeromagnetic surveying has become increasingly important in mineral exploration due to its advantages of low cost and safety. This study focused on improving the accuracy of UAV-based aeromagnetic data measurement by proposing a radial basis function (RBF) artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm for compensation. The results showed that the RBF-ANN had higher compensation accuracy and stronger generalization ability compared to the classical backpropagation (BP) ANN.

The Conjunctive Compensation Method Based on Inertial Navigation System and Fluxgate Magnetometer

Summary: Eliminating the magnetic interference of the carrier platform is crucial in aeromagnetic survey. The traditional compensation method using fluxgate magnetometer for attitude measurement has limitations due to errors and susceptibility to external interference. This article proposes a new compensation method based on inertial navigation systems (INS) and fluxgate magnetometer information, which improves the compensation effect and significantly enhances the quality of aeromagnetic data in real-time flight experiments.

Summary: The fusion of remote sensing, geophysical, and geological data is a robust, reliable, and low-cost approach for identifying high potential zones of polymetallic mineralization. This study successfully identified hydrothermal alteration mineral zones, intrusive masses, faults, and lineaments in the Chakchak region of Iran using Sentinel-2 and Landsat 7 remote sensing data, aerial magnetic geophysical data, and geological data. Several high potential zones of polymetallic mineralization were confirmed through field campaigns and drilling programs.
