WAKE-mediated modulation of cVA perception via a hierarchical neuro-endocrine axis in Drosophila male-male courtship behaviour

Shiu-Ling Chen et al.

Summary: The study shows that the Drosophila master regulator WAKE plays a role in modulating the secretion of insulin-like peptides, leading to a decrease in 20-hydroxyecdysone levels. This explains why WAKE-deficient Drosophila flies exhibit male-male courtship behavior.
