However, the majority of studies suggest that anterior cervical discectomy with arthroplasty (ACDA) is more cost-effective compared to anterior cervical discectomy with fusion (ACDF). However, due to heterogeneity in costs, charges, and study methods, solid conclusions cannot be drawn. High-quality cost-effectiveness research and uniformity in the conduct, design, and reporting of economic evaluations are needed in the treatment of CDDD.
