Socio-behavioural determinants associated with the first dental visit in Saudi children: A cross-sectional study

Ravi Kumar Gudipaneni et al.

Summary: This study aimed to determine the age at which Saudi children had their first dental visit (FDV) and the socio-behavioural predictors associated with these visits in Al Jouf Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dental health status, dentist visiting, and dental insurance of Asian immigrants in Canada

Qianqian Li et al.

Summary: This study examined the dental care utilization and self-preserved dental health of Asian immigrants compared to non-immigrants in Canada. Factors associated with oral health-related disparities between the two groups were analyzed. The results showed that Asian immigrants had lower dental care utilization, worse self-perceived dental health, and higher rates of tooth extractions due to decay. Factors such as low education, male gender, low household income, non-diabetes, lack of dental insurance, and short immigration length were found to discourage Asian immigrants from seeking dental care.
