Data Sources for Drug Utilization Research in Brazil-DUR-BRA Study

Summary: This study aims to identify and characterize data sources for Drug Utilization Research (DUR) in Brazil. A total of 62 data sources were identified and screened, with 38 meeting the eligibility criteria for inclusion and being fully characterized. The data sources were grouped into categories such as automated databases, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), national surveys or datasets, adverse event reporting systems, and others. Most of the data sources provided comprehensive data coverage for over 5 years and included both individual and aggregated data. However, information about population coverage was lacking.
