Anti-proliferative activity, molecular docking study of novel synthesized ethoxyphenylbenzene sulfonamide with computational calculations

Summary: In this study, a novel benzenesulfonamide was synthesized and its biological evaluation was conducted. The target compound was obtained through a synthesis reaction, and several different derivatives were prepared by reactions with different reagents. The newly synthesized derivatives exhibited anti-tumor activity against HepG2 and MCF-7 tumor cells. Molecular docking simulation showed that one of the compounds had strong binding affinity with proteins. Computational calculation studies confirmed the stability of the synthesized compounds.

Synthesis, antioxidant activity, docking simulation, and computational investigation of novel heterocyclic compounds and Schiff bases from picric acid

Summary: In this study, picric acid was used to synthesize various hetero-cyclic compounds, including carbothioamide, 1,3,4-oxadiazole, and Schiff bases derivatives. The synthesis route of 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives was modified by using an aprotic solvent instead of basic conditions. The synthesized compounds showed antioxidant capacity and exhibited strong activity in various parameters. Furthermore, docking stimulation and physical characterization indicated the biological evaluation of Schiff base compounds.

Synthesis, antimicrobial activity, theoretical investigation, and electrochemical studies of cellulosic metal complexes

Summary: This article describes the synthesis of 5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol cellulose using carboxymethyl cellulose and thiosemicarbazide through intermolecular cyclization in an acid medium. The structure was confirmed by spectral analysis. Metal complexes were also prepared by reacting the thiadiazole cellulose with metal chlorides, and their properties were characterized using various techniques. The complexes exhibited antimicrobial activity, with the Cu(II) complex showing the highest potency. Furthermore, the stability of the Cu(II) complex was demonstrated through docking studies with different proteins.

Synthesis, antimicrobial, antitumor activity, docking simulation, theoretical studies, and electrochemical analysis of novel Cd(II), Co(II), Cu(II), and Fe(III) complexes containing barbituric moiety

Summary: This study investigated the synthesis of novel metal complexes by combining two ligands, barbituric acid (HL1) and thiobarbituric acid (HL2), with different metal chlorides (Cd(II), Co(II), Cu(II), and Fe(III) chlorides) in a 1:1:1 ratio. Various analyses, including elemental analysis and spectral analysis investigations, were conducted to confirm the obtained mixed complexes. The thermal stability of the complexes was studied using TGA analysis, while the kinetic parameters were derived using the Coats-Redfern approach. XRD pattern analysis was used to analyze the crystallinity of the metals. The investigated complexes demonstrated excellent antimicrobial and antitumor activity, with Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes showing the highest activity. Docking analysis with various proteins further confirmed this. Additionally, the stability and physical descriptors of the ligands and complexes were assessed using DFT/B3LYP/LANL2DZ basis, and the electrochemical characterization and electrocatalytic properties of the metal complexes were evaluated using cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

Summary: This study aims to prepare new series of thiazole, pyrazole, pyridine, and thiophene derivatives incorporating thiazole carboxamide moiety based on their pharmacological activities. The target compounds were successfully synthesized using various chemical transformations and easily accessible starting materials. In-silico studies showed that compounds 17 and 20 exhibited stronger electrostatic hydrogen bond interactions and increased TPSA (& ANGS;2) due to the presence of NH2, C & EQUIV;N, OH, and C=O groups.

Development of semiconductive foams based on cellulose-benzenesulfonate/CuFe2O4-nanoparticles and theoretical studies with DFT/B3PW91/LANDZ2 basis set

Performance efficiency of MIPOH polymers as organic filler on cellulose pulp waste to form cellulosic paper sheets with biological evaluation and computational studies

Summary: Novel molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPOH1-4) were synthesized and used as organic fillers on bagasse pulp to form cellulosic paper sheets. The interaction between cellulose fibers of pulp with MIPOH polymers through physical hydrogen bonding was confirmed, showing high thermal stability and sizability of the paper sheets. Computational energies were utilized to study the stability of polymers and hydrogen bonding between them.

Summary: In this study, novel thaizolone derivatives were synthesized and characterized. Optimization results showed that the compounds with biphenyl and phenyl-piperidine fused thiazolone rings exhibited the most stable properties. Further experiments demonstrated that these compounds had anti-proliferative effects on breast cancer and prostate cancer cells, with compound 8f showing stronger inhibition on breast cancer growth and compound 8m showing greater cytotoxicity on prostate cancer cells. Additionally, these compounds exerted pro-apoptotic and anti-angiogenic effects through the regulation of gene expression levels.

Summary: In this investigation, the cycloaddition reaction of azide-alkyne derivatives 1a,b with glucopyranose azide 2a,b was catalyzed via Cu(I) to afford the corresponding acetylated 1,2,3-triazole N-glycoside derivatives 3a and 3b; respectively. The observed derivatives were characterized by spectral analysis and exhibited antitumor activity against various tumor cells. Docking studies and theoretical calculations confirmed the stability and physical parameters of the derivatives.

Summary: In these studies, the importance of isoindoline in pharmacological evaluation was investigated through crystal structure analysis, Hirshfeld surface analysis, and computational calculations of isoindoline-1,3-dione derivatives. The results showed that the derivatives exhibited different intermolecular interactions, and their single crystal structures were comparable with theoretical studies. The correlation between experimental and theoretical 1HNMR spectral analysis was also excellent.
