Computed tomography osteoabsorptiometry-based investigation on subchondral bone plate alterations in sacroiliac joint dysfunction

A. Poilliot et al.

Summary: This study found differences in subchondral bone plate mineralization between SIJD patients and healthy controls, with higher mineralization in the sacral inferior region of SIJD patients suggesting increased mechanical stresses. Additionally, age was negatively correlated with regional mineralization.
