Study of tyramine-binding mechanism and insecticidal activity of oil extracted from Eucalyptus against Sitophilus oryzae

Farshid Zargari et al.

Summary: This study investigated the binding mechanism of tyramine with the receptor TyrR, and identified potential compounds in Eucalyptus essential oils that can replace tyramine. GC/MS analysis revealed the composition of the oils, and butanoic acid, 3-methyl-, 3-methyl butyl ester and trans- beta-Ocimene were found to be the most effective compounds.

Synthesis, Anti-Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus Activities, and Interaction Mechanisms of Novel Dithioacetal Derivatives Containing a 4(3H)-Quinazolinone Pyrimidine Ring

Guangcheng Zu et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of novel dithioacetal derivatives containing a 4(3H)-quinazolinone pyrimidine ring were synthesized and evaluated for their antiviral activities against TSWV. Compound D32 showed excellent inactivation activity against TSWV, with better EC50 values than the lead compound. The study suggests that these derivatives may serve as promising new antiviral agents.
