Sequences from the internal transcribed spacer region of the ribosomes helped circumscribe two new Rhodocollybia species for neotropical America: R. olivaceogrisea from Costa Rica; and R. tenuipes from Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Both species are phylogenetically related to R. butyracea. Rhodocollybia maculata represents a new report for Dominican Republic.
