Media attention, dependency, self-efficacy, and prosocial behaviours during the outbreak of COVID-19: A constructive journalism perspective

Summary: This study aimed to examine the relationship between media attention, dependency, self-efficacy, and prosocial behaviors amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed significant correlations between media attention and self-efficacy, as well as between media dependency and self-efficacy. Media attention, dependency, and self-efficacy were found to have significant effects on prosocial attitudes and behaviors. Moreover, the study revealed that self-efficacy mediates the effects of media attention and dependency on prosocial behavior.

Factors Associated With Specialists' Intention to Adopt New Behaviors After Taking Web-Based Continuing Professional Development Courses: Cross-sectional Study

Future design of web-based CPD courses should consider these factors to ensure positive contributions to clinical behavior change.

Commitment to Change Statements and Actual Practice Change After a Continuing Medical Education Intervention

Summary: This study evaluated the relationship between participants' commitment to change after a CME intervention and actual clinical practice change in prescribing antibiotics for children with UTIs. The results showed that participants who made specific commitments had greater improvement in antibiotic choice and usage duration compared to those who did not make commitments. The study suggests that commitments to specific clinical behaviors are associated with sustained changes in prescribing practices.
